WELCOME TO WISE OWL TRUST
At Wise Owl Trust we do things differently. We innovate, empower, encourage. We want to foster ambitions – not just for our pupils but for our schools and our communities. Because we recognise that our children will face challenges, in learning and in life, and we want to prepare them. However tough those challenges might get.

A TRUST LIKE NO OTHER
Based in the heart of East Manchester, Wise Owl is a small Multi Academy Trust with big ambitions — for our children, our families and our communities. And just like our home city, we do things differently here. Yes, like thousands of children across the country, our pupils face challenges. But here at Wise Owl we face those challenges together.
Our R.E.S.P.E.C.T. character programme encourages learning through adventure, teamwork and resilience.
With our pupils embarking on carefully designed ‘missions’ to put their character attributes to test in a safe space, whilst teaching them solid life skills. And it’s not just fun for the children, it has created real results too, with improvements across the board in reading, writing and maths.
We are not just about academic achievements. We truly believe it is our duty to prepare pupils for every challenge life might throw at them.
Our newly-introduced Wise Owl Wellbeing (WOW) strategy sets us apart when it comes to looking after the mind, body and soul of our pupils and staff by encouraging mindfulness and positivity.
Our Team Up hub, which has a clear focus on Character Education and nurture, has been built to support pupils facing the toughest challenges.
A place where those previously at risk of exclusion find inclusion, one-to-one support and a renewed sense of aspiration and purpose. Not just in our schools but sharing success by welcoming pupils who need support from schools across the city.

It’s not just our motto
— it is our way of life.
REAL RESULTS
We believe that every day in school should be a new adventure for our pupils. That they should want to walk through our gates, excited for the challenges that lie ahead.
So we devised an entirely new curriculum, blending our character work into wider topics and themes, encompassing all subject areas. Based on research, it builds on our children’s learning year on year, while bringing history, science and art to life, together with core subjects like maths and English.
It’s transformed our learning experience – not just for the children but the teachers too, who have an entire curriculum of ready-made resources, physical tools and overarching lesson plans to cut back on teacher workload. And the results speak for themselves…
What we’ve achieved so far…
WORK WITH US
At Wise Owl Trust our ambitions don’t just end at our school gates. We want to be part of a bigger change across all our communities, breaking down barriers to learning and giving everyone the tools to achieve more.
Already, we collaborate with a whole host of people and organisations who share our vision of inspiring the next generation.
Now we are looking to grow. To work with even more like-minded innovators, change-makers and pioneers who see adventure and opportunities where others might see challenges. And that includes parents, communities, companies and other schools.
Do you want to be part of the Wise Owl story? We would love to hear from you.
